Coastal License A

A holiday in Croatia allows you to perfectly combine relaxation, special experiences and a variety of activities. A particularly unique and sustainable option is to acquire a coastal license.

Minimum age 14 years

The minimum age to take the course is 14 years. This age limit ensures that candidates have sufficient understanding and concentration skills to successfully master the theoretical and practical content of the course.

Boats up to 7m length

The category “A” course enables candidates to qualify to drive boats up to 7 metres in length, with a propulsion power of 15 kW and a maximum cruising distance of 6 nautical miles from the nearest coast.

160 Euro 

The course costs 160 euros and includes a specially adapted script containing all relevant learning materials. The main content of the course includes basic maritime laws, the identification of boats both during the day and at night, and orientation and general navigation on the nautical chart. In addition, practical skills such as making knots and slings are taught. This comprehensive training ensures that participants are well prepared to carry out their duties as boat captains competently and safely.

Course duration 2 days

The course is designed to be flexible and time efficient. The standard duration of the course is two days, with two hours of instruction per day. Alternatively, the course can be scheduled on an individual basis to suit the specific needs and schedules of the participants.

The category ‘A’ course allows candidates to qualify to sail boats up to 7 metres in length, with a propulsion power of 15 kW and a maximum sailing distance of 6 nautical miles from the nearest coast. The minimum age for the category test is 14 years. The usual course duration is 2 days, two hours per day or by arrangement.

 

The price, including a customised script, is 160 euros. Main elements of the course: Basic maritime laws, identification of boats by day and night, orientation and general navigation on the nautical chart, knots and slings.
